Chigger's @ Buzz & Lulu's

A week and a half ago my wife and I went over to Buzz and Lulu's house (the names have been changed to protect the innocent) for dinner. While waiting on the burgers to cook we hung out in the backyard and talked to the neighbors. Their three year old son "Ichabod" rolled around in the grass playing with the neighbor boy. While I was waiting for everything to be set out for dinner I sat down at the table and played "tickle me" with little "Ich" sitting on my lap. A little while later during dinner Lulu looks at Ich's legs and says, "I think those are chigger bites on his legs. Our yard is infested with them. We're going to need to get it treated." Now, I didn't think anything of it until the next morning when I looked in the mirror while wearing my birthday suit and to my dismay (to put it lightly), I had a dozen or more sores all in a very private, dark, and sweaty area ( I added the dark and sweaty part because that's what I discovered chiggers like while researching my "condition" on the internet). After a week the itching stopped and the sores are starting to go away. That old boy in the picture below did a number on my speedo modelling (If you know what I mean).

Got a Razor?

Thank you one and all for the ideas concerning my picture. I'm trying to put it on the side of my blog, but I'm having a little trouble. I'm also trying to find a job for the summer so maybe I'll consider acting, poker playing or cologne sales.

It's Been a While

I haven't had much to say and I still don't. Hard to understand or explain.

The boy is a blast! His smiles and laughter are pure joy.

Happy Belated VD

If you're a little sick and twisted as I am, that'll make you smile. I'm a parent now--a stay-at-home Dad to be exact, and everyday my wife leaves to go to work and I think she leaves with great fear and trepidation that I will somehow pass along my "sick and twistedness" to Jr. Truth be told...It's a part of my plan. I think as parents you hope to instill your best traits in your children.

Some of mine would be...
  • the S & T I already mentioned,
  • my love of risk, a love for people,
  • a love for desserts,
  • and most of all a love for Jesus and a willingness to be completely His. (I don't know that the latter part of this last quality is very "completely" right now)
Some of Hers would be...
  • a love for sarcasm,
  • a love for math,
  • a love for what is clean, safe and orderly,
  • a love for exercise and health,
  • a love for time alone to recuperate from crazy people,
  • and certainly a love for Jesus and His Kingdom.
My hope is a good mix of both. My wife's hope if I were to guess...is a lot of her and a little of me (safer that way).
